This is a wonderful trait; it points to a person who is very creative, and probably has a good sense of humor.  They often do things their own way, but do so originally.

These people often find that they think differently than the targeted audience of most traditional high schools.  They find new ways of looking at a problem, instead of the short and easy way to success.
